yesChef.co.nz - Privacy and Security We respect your right to privacy. We collect and store information about individuals as detailed below, in the course of operating our business. We do not sell or supply information about individuals, or for that matter any of our customers, to any other parties, for any reason (other than the specific events detailed in 3. below). If you are concerned about the supply of information to us, or our potential use of such information, please communicate with us first to info@yeschef.co.nz 1. If you purchase yesChef.co.nz goods or services then we collect and store the following information for the purposes of: * being able to provide you with goods and services; and a) Your full name, physical address, telephone number and email address. 2. The above information is stored in our databases and in our accounting system. 3. We do not provide access to your details to any other party, except in the following instances which you authorize us to do as part of the terms under which we are prepared to do business with you: a) When we seek credit references from credit agencies, or instruct debt collection agencies to recover monies you owe us. 4. Credit Card Transactions. If you pay by Credit Card, and provide your credit card details on-line, those details are entered by you through a secure page (https) and they are not received on-line at the time of transmission by yesChef.co.nz or any of its employees. Nor (for your security) are your credit card details accessible by yesChef.co.nz at the time you input them. Your credit card details are only stored electronically by yesChef.co.nz until the transaction has been completed, then deleted from the secure recorder. A paper-based copy of your credit card details is maintaned by yesChef.co.nz for the period of time specified by our bankers. 5. If you send us an on-line or off-line query, which includes personal information about you, we will hold such information in a database or in paper records for the period of time that the query remains "live" after which time we will either move the information to our customer database (if you become a customer) or delete the information. 6. Access to Personal Information: If you are a private individual about whom we hold personal information you may request a copy of that information from us and we will supply such information subject to the information being readily retrievable. 7. Correction of Personal Information: In you are a private individual to whom we disclose information that we hold about you, and you believe that some or all of that information is incorrect, then we will, in the face of evidence to our satisfaction, correct that information OR in the absence of such evidence - record with that information details of your disagreement with the accuracy of the information. Security: Online Credit Card details: When you enter your credit card details to complete a purchase, you are connected to a purpose-built secure page operating under https which encrypts your information. The secure page we use carries a Comodo Authentication Certificate. Your credit card details are stored encrypted on the secure server only until the transaction is completed by us, then they are deleted. Storage of Credit Card details: physically store paper-based details of your credit card and transaction in a locked cabinet for the period of time that our bank (credit card merchant service supplier) requires. This information is only accessible to yesChef.co.nz staff who are responsible for product ordering, shipping, and accounting. Fax or Phone Options: If you do not wish to provide your credit card details on-line, you may fax us your details (by downloading and completing the fax order form avaialble in our shopping cart), or telephone the details during business working hours (NZ time). Security and storage of information supplied by fax and phone is the same as detasiled above. yesChef.co.nz - Returns & Refunds YesChef exists to make shopping for professional top quality items an easy, efficient, hassle-free service. If you choose a item on YesChef you should feel confident that everything will run smoothly from that point on - that's our aim, that's why we set YesChef up, and that's what we aspire to. Our policy on returns and refunds is that we will treat you - as we would expect to be treated ourselves.
Returns It's unlikely that you are going to want to return an item purchased from YesChef. However, things can go wrong for a variety of reasons - and if you have a legitimate reason for returning a purchase or requesting a refund, tell us about it and we'll do everything in our power to put things right, with the least amount of disruption, in the shortest amount of time. The formal language of the policy appears below Our returns/refunds policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under New Zealand consumer protection or sale of goods laws. Returns: You may wish to return a purchase due to:
Malfunction: If the item purchased does not function correctly on receipt, or fails within its warranty period*, please contact us immediately (by email or phone), quoting your invoice number (the number provided by us on the order confirmation emailed to you at the time of your purchase) and advising us of the nature of the problem. If the goods carry a manufacturers warranty then we will advise you to follow the instructions on the warranty card that you received with the goods. If the goods do not carry a manufacturers warranty, then they are warranted by us for sixty (60) days and we will organise the retrieval of the item at our cost and provided that the problem has not been caused by misuse or normal wear and tear - repair or replace (at our discretion) within 28 days from its return to us. If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, we will credit the cost of the relevant purchase back to your credit card or bank account. Damaged on receipt: If the goods are received by you in an already damaged condition - please contact us immediately (by email or phone), quoting your invoice number (the number provided by us on the order confirmation emailed to you at the time of your purchase) and advising us of the nature of the damage.We will organise the retrieval of the item at our cost and will ship a replacement immediately upon receipt of the damaged goods, by us. If for any reason the item cannot be replaced, we will immediately invite you to select a replacement item or credit the cost of the relevant purchase back to your credit card or bank account - at your discretion. In the event that you choose an exchage product - and the value is less than the original purchase then we will credit the difference to your credit card or bank account. Contacting Us: To advise us that you wish to return goods and/or receive a refund - please: a) email info@yeschef.co.nz ,OR b) telephone +64 3 379 9751 and ask for YesChef returns. If you telephone outside NZ working hours, or the phone is unattended - leave a message but ensure that you provide the relevant invoice number along with details of the problem. We will email the address you provided (at the time of ordering) to either confirm that we've taken action - or to advise any action you need to take. The effect of Warranty provisions on returns/refunds: The information below is provided here solely to help explain our returns/refunds policy. * Warranty Period. Where the goods carry a manufacturers warranty, the 'warranty period' is the period specified by the relevant manufacturer and subject to the terms and conditions of warranty specified by that manufacturer. If the goods are covered by a manufacturers warranty, all the details of that warranty will be enclosed with the goods upon receipt. Where the goods do not carry a manufacturers warranty, then yesChef.co.nz provides a limited warranty on such goods for a period of sixty (60) days. Read the limited warranty provisions. |
